NSE APPLAUDS AMOSUN’S CHOICE OF AN ENGINEER AS HoS

The Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) Abeokuta Chapter has commended the decision of Senator Ibikunle Amosun’s led administration for appointing an engineer to be the number one Civil Servant in Ogun State.

The Branch’s Chairman, Engr. Dr. Olanrewaju Apampa, made this known during the branch’s visit to the Office of the State Head of Service, Engr. Lanre Bisiriyu, in Abeokuta, saying he would be the first engineer to be saddled with that responsibility.

Congratulating Engr. Bisiriyu on his new appointment, Apampa said, “We are not surprised at your elevation to the top office, the first Engineer to be appointed; considering your training, experience, skills and resourcefulness in other spheres of life. We thank His Excellency, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, for recognising these qualities,” Engr. Apampa said.

Saying that his success is also the branch’s success, the Chairman expressed the society’s willingness to partner with the Office of HoS and also with the State Government to train Engineers in the Civil Service for optimal job delivery.

He noted that areas of cooperation with the State government would include; training on electrical distribution and controls, auto change over, variable speed drives and substations, pneumatic and hydraulic reciprocating system, building information modelling and material testing in highway and structural engineering among others.

The Chairman reiterated that the branch’s success will be a good chapter in HoS’s book of successes.

Responding, Engr. Bisiriyu, appreciated the society for the visit and its support to the government at all times, pledging to uphold the ethics of the profession.
