A delegation of the Abeokuta Branch of the Nigerian Society of Engineers led by Branch Chairman, Engr. Dr. A. O. Apampa, has paid a visit to the 12th NSE President Pa. Engr. Ven. Phillips Bolude Oyebolu, at his Lagos Residence today Saturday 12th January, 2019.
Together with Baba, the delegation watched the West African Netball Clubs Fest between Rising Stars of Ghana and Bringing Netball Back of Nigeria at Molade Okoya Indoor Sports Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The visit provided an opportunity to check on Baba’s well – being and also give him a token of our love.
Other members of the delegation included Past Branch Chairmen, Engr. M.O. Odesanya, Engr. A.A. Lawal, Engr. M.I. Abbass, and General Secretary, Engr. Olumayowa Idowu.
Born on 16th June, 1930, Pa. Engr. P.B. Oyebolu was the 12th President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) between 1982 – 1983 and one time Vice President of Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
As the son of the soil, one of founding fathers of the branch and also considering his contributions to the Engineering Profession in the country, the Abeokuta Branch named the Secretariat after the Anglican Clergy, “Bolude Oyebolu Engineering Centre” some years back.
Long live Papa, long live the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
