The Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers Lagos state Chapter, under the chairperson of Engr Mrs Funmi Akingbagbohun, FNIMechE, is inviting General Public and stakeholders to their End of the Year Lecture and Award Ceremony coming up in Lagos as scheduled below.

Who is Engr Dr. Okechukwu John Mbonu
 
Dr. Okechukwu John Mbonu graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Manchester University, England where in 1977; he obtained a BSc degree (with first class honours). He was later awarded the Manchester University Noel Philip Bedson Research Scholarship which in 1982 led to the award of a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering. John started his career as an engineer with Nigerian Breweries Plc in 1982. He was appointed the Group Engineering Manager of the company in 1990. In 1996, he was “seconded” by Nigerian Breweries Plc to Shell PetroleumDevelopment Company of Nigeria (SPDC) on contract to set up the Special Intensive Training Programme (SITP). He returned to Nigerian Breweries Plc in late January 1999 to assume-the position of Head of Personnel. He was elevated to the Executive Board of Nigerian Breweries Plc in November 1999 as the Human Resource Director. In November, 2001, he was appointed to as Customer Service Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc. He has been a Director at Pricewaterhouse Coopers Nigeria since 2009. He was appointed into the Nestoil Board of Directors in 2013.
